Electric cars continue to exceed expectations on a global scale. Most recently, Autoweek draws attention to the American market. The industry’s forecast was one million electric cars.The year ended with 1.1 million electric cars, which is an increase of 46 percent from the year before.
– I think the key thing is the infrastructure, comments Stephanie Valdez-Streaty, analyst at Cox Automotive, noting that EV owners currently do 80% of their recharging at home, but continuing that we’re definitely on the electrification road.
Cox Automotive expects that 2024 will provide an increase of 36 percent, corresponding to 1.5 million units. The future prospects are good, with a growing range of new car models as well as enthusiasm which will contribute to the growth.
