After VW ID. Buzz, now Transporter goes fully electric

Last year, Volkswagen launched Volkswagen ID. Buzz and ID. Buzz Cargo. Two models that, with their unique design, definitely make them an eye-catcher out on the roads. However, these models does not meet all customers’ requirements.

In fact, to meet customers demands Volkswagen plans for both the ID. Buzz series and a range of vans, according to the latest press release. In that context, Volkswagen reveals a new generation Transporter and Caravelle and that they will be fully electric.

In a short film, we get to see a first teaser of an all-electric E-Transporter.

– With our new Transporter, we have developed state-of-the-art tools for professionals. Together with Multivan and ID. Buzz we can offer a VW Bus with range that is tailored exactly to all our customers’ wishes. says Lars Krause, board member for sales and marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

In the press release Volkswagen communicates that sales of the new Transporter series will start at the beginning of next year. However, whether or not that also includes the Volkswagen e-Transporter and e-Caravelle remains to be seen.
