Jaguar Land Rover just released the first images of the new and entirely electric Range Rover. Pre-booking will open before the end of this year in selected markets. Right now, the final tests are being carried out with prototypes.
The new Range Rover Electric is designed to handle the most extreme temperatures and the toughest terrains, including withstanding a water depth of up to 850 mm.

According to Land Rover, their engineers are about to create the most quiet and refined Range Rover ever, as it will provide a peaceful modern luxury. As for now, we know that it will of course be a four-wheel drive. The platform will be built on an 800-volt architecture, which should enable very fast charging. By partnering up with charging operators, a simple and seamless charging experience is guaranteed.
Land Rover doesn’t reveal details about range, but promises the Range Rover will be a connected vehicle with intelligent technology to maximize range.

The car will be based on the company’s own platform Modular Longitudinal Architecture. It will be built in Solihull, UK. Batteries and the electric drive unit will origin from the group’s new manufacturing facility in Wolverhampton.
