More than a few Chinese mobile phone manufacturers have stepped into the car business. Through their technical know-how, they hope to build electric cars that will attract those interested in technology with advanced technology.
One of these companies is Xiaomi, which before the end of last year presented its first electric car; the electric SUV Xiaomi SU7. During the launch, Xiaomi highlighted the technical level and above all an advanced driver assistance system with many autonomous functions.
One of these features is the self-parking system. The Xiaomi SU7 will be able to drop off the driver, and then go and find its parking space by itself, even if it is inside a large parking garage with complex challenges. The SU7 has multiple sensors, including LiDAR, 11 HD cameras and radar, working together make it possible. We can see the demonstration in the video below:
Aims to challenge Porsche and Tesla
The Xiaomi SU7 will be based on battery technology from CATL and BUD and the goal is to offer more than 800 kilometers in range from a 101 kWh battery. In a four-wheel drive version, the car promise to deliver an output of a whopping 495 kW.
– Xiaomi’s goal is to create a dream car that is as good as Porsche and Tesla, said CEO Lei Jun during the presentation last fall.
But perhaps they’ve looked a little too much at Porsche? There is quite a lot of Porsche Taycan in the SU7.

The selling of Xiaomi SU7 has begun in China. There is no information on whether Xiaomi will also target European or other global markets.
